The Fall Session of Accent on Rounds will be held at Fontana Village Resort, Fontana Dam, NC. Bob & Kay Kurczewski, Liberty Hill, Tx and Curt & Tammy Worlock, Plant City, FL will be teaching Phases 3, 4, 5, &6 during this session. Dancers are responsible for their housing arrangements. Join Tim Tyl, Joey Duhamel, & Phil Moorehouse, (Callers) and Ken Vantiger & Martin Philyaw (Cuers) for a fantastic weekend of square and round dancing. Dancing $40pp for the weekend. A BBQ supper will be made available for $15 pp on Saturday evening. This is a special fund raising event for the 74th NSDC. We’ll see you at Promenade Hall, 5400 Benton Road in Bossier City, LA.

The 54th Annual Fun-Sti-Toot Weekend will be held Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14 in La Grange, Texas at the Randolph Recreation Center. Join Wayne Weston, Fred Goynes (only Sat.), Gary Sanders, Chet Miles and Tammy Lee for a FUN-filled weekend.

Both nights early rounds are scheduled from 7:00-7:30pm. Square dancing and rounds continue from 7:30-10:00pm. A Round Dance Fun Shop is scheduled for Saturday from 10a-12p with a Square Dance Fun Shop from 2p-4p. Donations on Friday are $10 pp and Saturday $10 pp in advance or $15 pp at the door. Come meet all the new Association and Council presidents during this TSFSRD sponsored Presidents’ Dance weekend! The event is co-hosted by Austin Square and Round Dance Association and the Texas State Callers’ Association on October 4th & 5th, 2024.

Hospitality will be offered at the Randolph Recreation Center, Building D. in La Grange from 3:00- 5:00 PM on Friday, October 4th. The Friday evening dance will start with an hour of pre-rounds at 6:30 with the regular dance from 7:45 -9:45 PM and will feature full member TSCA callers and cuers. Announcements and Introductions will be from 7:30 - 7:45 both nights.

Saturday morning there will be a TSFSRD Delegate meeting in the gym from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon with coffee and sweet rolls at 8:30 AM. The callers and cuers will be attending the TSCA Seminar/Caller Clinic and Fall Meeting in Building D, Game Room #1 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Darryl Lipscomb will be the weekend clinician.

Saturday evening, round dancing will be from 6:30 - 7:30 PM with volunteer TSCA cuers. Dancing from 7:45 - 9:45 PM. Darryl Lipscomb will be calling all evening. Flyer

It is not too early to register for the 75th National Square Dance Convention in Waco, TX. 2026 is the year of the Diamond Jubilee. If you have never been to a National Convention and live in Texas, the National Convention is NOT going to get any closer! The National Square Dance Convention is like a Disneyland for dancers. There are workshops in clogging, contra dancing, round and square dancing, hex and progressive squares, and lines. There are morning dances especially for solo dancers to meet other solos. There are all levels of workshops and dances in square and round dancing. If you want to learn more about the logistics of running or growing a club, there are educational offerings for that as well.

Pre-registration for four full days of dancing is only $60/person and $30 for youth born after June 27th 2009. This pre-registration price is only available until March 22, 2005. There is a very liberal cancellation policy so you have nothing to lose by registering early. Early registration allows the Convention organizers to plan appropriately and know how much additional fundraising will be needed.

This is YOUR state and YOUR convention. Register now and help make the 75th National Square Dance Convention a success. LET’S GO WACO!
