Austin Square and Round Dance Association

We are sad to tell everyone that our 21 year old son, Andreas Boehm, passed away Monday, August 30.  Many of our Square Dance friends will remember him when he danced with the Texas Bluebonnets.  We will have a memorial service at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Chapel in Sattler here at Canyon Lake (map).  The service will be on Tuesday, September 7th at 2:00pm with a reception to follow at 4:00pm at the LCYC clubhouse.

I have a box of  square dance materials, old 45's, books, choreography materials etc I would like to give to someone who would appreciate and possibly use them. I was a caller once upon a time. Let me know if anyone wants this material and I will make arrangements to get it to them.

Buckles & Bows will be dancing to guest caller Jimmy Ellis on Thursday, July 22nd, as their regular callers, Arnold & Marie are on vacation, come join us! Then on Thursday July 29th Buckles & Bows will NOT be dancing, due to the church they dance in will be having Vacation Bible School.

Buckles & Bows will not be dancing on Thursday June 10, 2010.  Marie & Arnold are attending the TSCA Trail End Dance in Galveston for festival weekend.  We will resume our normal 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. dance next Thursday, June 17th.

Several dancers in the Austin area attend this dance each year.
We would like to get the word out that the dance is now "SOLD OUT" for 2010.

Beth Luker passed away on Sunday morning, April 18, 2010 at her home near Thorndale.  

She and Wayne were long time dancers and are past officers of the the ASRDA.

Buckles & Bows will not be dancing, Thursday April 15th.   We will resume our regular club dancing, on Thursday April 22nd. 

Waterloo Squares' Spring 2010 lessons will move to the South Austin Senior
Activity Center, 3911 Manchaca, effective Thursday, April 22.  The start
times have also changed:  7:15 p.m. for Mainstream and 8:45 p.m. for Plus. 

This morning's issue of the ASRDA Events email was, shall we say, rather lacking!  

I've corrected the situation and set it to send a corrected issue tomorrow morning.
